How to Use Haiti FM

All the radio stations listed on this website broadcast (or webcast) their audio over the Internet using a technique known as "streaming audio". To receive them, you must have:
- A computer with a sound card and speakers (or headphones)
- The free software to process the streams so that you can listen to the stations.

Connections can be a bit slow or erratic (depending on network traffic), and may not always work (the audio server may be offline or serving the maximum number of connections). A link which is down may return minutes, days or weeks later.

Unfortunately because of the dynamic nature of the Internet, you will find some links that don't work, but we strive to keep these to a minimum, and even daily checking cannot guarantee that all links will work all of the time. Small independent haitian radio stations may not have the resources of the big companies, so please consider this.

If you have trouble with a particular stream, please read any error message carefully, and if appropriate, try later.

"Rebuffering", which is a common problem, simply means that you are having trouble receiving the stream because of a high level of Internet traffic, your Internet connection quality/speed, or simply the server load - again, try later. Similarly, "Net Congestion" also refers to the level of Internet traffic, and neither of these are any cause for concern - simply try again later.

Due to the fact that streaming audio can become very expensive we understand that some Haitian Radio Station owners may ask us to remove their feeds from the directory.
If we are sending you too much traffic and more listeners than your service can afford to serve please let us know. We are here to help expose your hard work and do not claim any ownership of your service.

Links are fully checked regularly, and any found to be not working will be deleted after about 4 weeks (this allows the station time to rectify the problem).
Any non-working feeds should be primarily reported to the relevant station, but you can also contact us, specifying the details.
